This page explains what we collect when you book a table, what we use it for and how you stay in control of it. It is written to be understood, not to cover our backs.

Who handles your data

Controller: Fresco y Batata, S.L., tax ID B57952210, registered address C/ Virgen del Carmen, 10 · 07470 Port de Pollença, Illes Balears. "Tierra de Fuegos" is its trading name.

You can write to tierradefuegosmallorca@gmail.com or call +34 627 39 14 80 about anything to do with your data.

What we collect

Only what it takes to seat you and keep you informed:

  • Your name, and either an email or a phone number so we can confirm the booking.
  • Date, time and number of guests.
  • The language you write to us in, so we reply in the same one.
  • Whatever you write in the allergies or requests field, if you fill it in.
  • If you tick the news box, we also store the date and the IP address you ticked it from. That is the proof that the permission came from you.

What we use it for, and on what grounds

  • Handling your booking and sending the confirmation: to do what you have asked us to (performance of a contract or pre-contractual steps, GDPR art. 6.1.b).
  • Taking your allergies or intolerances into account: only if you tell us, and with your explicit consent (art. 9.2.a). This may be health information, so we use it solely to prepare your service and pass it to the kitchen.
  • Sending you restaurant news: only if you ticked the box, with your consent (art. 6.1.a). You can withdraw it whenever you like and it does not affect your bookings.
  • Knowing how many bookings come through each channel: legitimate interest in running the business, using aggregated data that does not identify you.

How long we keep it

Booking data is kept while you are a customer and, afterwards, for as long as needed to deal with possible claims or to meet legal obligations.

The record of your marketing permissions is kept even after you unsubscribe. It sounds odd, but it is necessary: it is the proof of when you said yes and when you said no.

Who else sees it

We do not sell or hand your data to anyone. It is only processed by the companies that provide our services, under contract:

  • Supabase — database, with servers in the European Union (Ireland).
  • Vercel — website hosting.
  • Resend — sending the confirmation emails.
  • Telegram — internal alert to the restaurant that a booking has come in. This involves an international transfer of data.

What you can do

You have the right to ask us for access to your data, to have it corrected or deleted, to restrict how we use it, to object to certain uses, and to receive it in a file so you can take it elsewhere.

To exercise these rights, write to us with your request. If you believe we have not handled it properly, you can complain to the Spanish Data Protection Agency (aepd.es).

Stopping the news emails

Every email we send has an unsubscribe link at the bottom. One click and it is done: no forms, no questions.

Unsubscribing from the news does not cancel your bookings, and we will still send you the confirmation for any table you book.
